A loving family in Brooklyn is welcoming their first baby and seeking a compassionate Birth Doula who can create a peaceful, supportive atmosphere during labor, offering both emotional and physical guidance.
Ideal Candidate:
- Calm, knowledgeable, and reassuring under pressure, with clear, thoughtful communication throughout the birth journey
- Respects the family's birth preferences while remaining flexible should circumstances change
- Works collaboratively with the medical team to support informed decision-making, comfort measures, positioning, pain management strategies, and breathing techniques
- Culturally aware and sensitive to the experiences of African American families within the healthcare system, helping the family feel understood, respected, and fully supported
Their goal is to help the family feel confident, safe, and prepared before, during, and immediately after birth.
