The County of Adams Children and Youth Assistant Administrator provides administration, supervisory, planning and managerial support and assistance within the Agency and on behalf of the Administrator in his/her absence. The assistant administrator is responsible for the continued operation of all agency programs and services, including but not limited to overseeing all the staff. This position is responsible for monitoring the quality of services to clients, staff, and the community by collection of data and statistical analysist, and reviews and evaluates the quality of casework being performed by the agency as well as being able to provide direct caseworker supervision in the absence of the supervisors. Other responsibilities include assisting with agency budget, development and disseminate of departmental policies and procedures, writes DHS licensure corrective plans and assists with recruiting, disciplinary and dismissal processes involving CYS employees.
MERIT HIRE
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university including at lease 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related field
- AND three years experience in the field of public or private social work
- AND a minimum of two years working in a supervisory and administrative capacity in a social service agency.
