Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise PM pastry operations, ensuring seamless service for à la carte dining, banquets, and special events
Manage, train, and mentor a pastry team of five, fostering a professional, positive, and collaborative work culture
Ensure consistent quality, flavor, and presentation across all dessert and pastry offerings
Execute daily production, prep schedules, and service requirements efficiently and accurately
Assist in menu development, seasonal offerings, and specialty desserts for events and functions
Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety in accordance with all health regulations
Monitor product usage, minimize waste, and support inventory management and ordering
Collaborate closely with culinary leadership and cross-functional departments to exceed member and guest expectations
Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Pastry Chef as needed
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 3–5 years of professional pastry experience, including supervisory or leadership experience
Formal culinary or pastry education preferred; equivalent hands-on experience considered
Strong foundation in classical and modern pastry techniques, baking, plated desserts, and chocolate work
Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and inspire a diverse pastry team
Excellent organization, time management, and multitasking skills
Experience in a private club, fine dining, luxury hotel, or high-volume banquet environment preferred
High attention to detail with a commitment to consistency, quality, and presentation
Availability to work PM shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events as required
ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification (or ability to obtain)
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Capability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, cold, and standard kitchen equipment
