Job Description

The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily cleaning operations and ensuring that facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. This position involves supervising janitorial staff, inspecting work, coordinating schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and cleaning standards. 

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the work of janitorial staff.
• Inspect assigned areas regularly to ensure standards are being met.
• Assign tasks and ensure timely completion of cleaning duties.
• Train and coach staff on cleaning procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols.
• Monitor supply inventory and request necessary materials.
• Respond to customer complaints or special cleaning requests.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety standards.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to appropriate personnel.

Requirements 

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of janitorial experience; 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if needed.
• Proficient in the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
