- Schedule: Monday – Saturday, 10–12 hours per day.
- Project Scope: 4–6 Month Wet Utility Installation Project.
- Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License. Mandatory federal background check.
You will serve as a dual-threat equipment operator driving deep excavation and site logistics for high-priority wet utility installations. This role empowers you to take ownership of multiple frontline machines while delivering critical water, sewer, and storm infrastructure. You will work alongside an elite field team backed by leadership that values technical craftsmanship and dedicated field execution.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Operate track-hoe excavators to dig deep, precise trenches for sanitary sewer, storm drain, and water main lines.
- Manage front-end loaders to transport bedding aggregate, backfill materials, and utility pipe sections safely across the site.
- Implement OSHA-compliant trench sloping, benching, and protective shoring systems to maintain a zero-incident job site.
- Coordinate real-time machine movements with ground spotters, pipe-layers, and grade checkers to sustain daily production targets.
- Execute accurate backfilling and mechanical compaction over installed wet utilities without disturbing pipe grade.
- Perform comprehensive daily walk-around inspections, grease fittings, and manage routine maintenance on assigned machinery.
- Adapt equipment operations to varying soil conditions, site obstacles, and tight working corridors.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience operating both track-hoes and front-end loaders within wet utility environments.
- Proven expertise in deep trenching, backfilling, material staging, and reading grade stakes.
- Working knowledge of OSHA excavation standards, trench protection systems, and soil classifications.
- Demonstrated endurance to work demanding 10- to 12-hour outdoor shifts in variable weather conditions.
- Valid Driver's License with an insurable driving record.
- Experience operating heavy earthmoving machinery on military bases or secured civil infrastructure installations.
- OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification.
- Competent Person certification for Trenching and Excavating.
- Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B).
