Job Overview

Emanouil Brothers is hiring an organized, efficient, and experienced Diesel Mechanic - Heavy Equipment & Trucks to help manage and maintain a diverse fleet of trucks and construction equipment. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, punctual, and experienced with light-duty trucks, dump bodies, tri-axles, diesel-powered equipment, and small engines. You'll be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles and machines are operating safely and efficiently to support daily operations. You'll work closely with managers to prioritize and complete repairs quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair a wide range of vehicles and equipment, including:
• Light- and heavy-duty trucks, dump trucks, and tri-axles
• Diesel construction equipment like skid steers and excavators
• Small engines and landscaping tools
• Prioritize repair work based on direction from project managers
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Accurately diagnose mechanical problems and recommend solutions
• Ensure timely turnaround on repairs to minimize operational delays
• Track and document maintenance history for all equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment
• Support parts ordering and inventory as needed
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a mechanic
• Strong experience with diesel equipment and commercial trucks
• Knowledge of small engine and hydraulic system repairs
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities
• Punctual and reliable with strong work ethic
• Valid driver’s license preferred; CDL a plus
• No formal education requirements; relevant certifications a bonus
