Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Journeyman 421A Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at our Sudbury location. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of a wide range of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and more
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment longevity
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines and objectives
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with industry advancement
Requirements:
- Valid Heavy Equipment Mechanic license
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a variety of heavy equipment systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Valid driver's license
