Key Responsibilities
- Crew Leadership: Supervise and direct concrete crews to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
- Concrete Installation: Oversee all phases of concrete work, including reading and executing project plans, formwork, pouring foundations, flatwork, sidewalks, and large pours.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Work closely with project managers, steel, and electrical teams to maintain timelines and coordinate site activities.
- Form Building & Foundations: Ensure forms, footings, and foundations are properly set up and inspected prior to pours.
- Problem Solving: Identify challenges and provide practical solutions to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Quality Control: Inspect all phases of work to confirm compliance with project specifications and codes.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety policies and conduct regular safety meetings to maintain a safe jobsite.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily reports, crew hours, and project updates.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in commercial concrete construction with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of concrete installation methods, including grading, formwork, pouring, and finishing.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage crews, delegate tasks, and train team members.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively between field crews, subcontractors, and project managers.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to resolve on-site issues quickly and effectively.
- Equipment Proficiency: Skilled in operating construction equipment such as telehandlers, skid steers, man lifts, and scissor lifts.
- Travel Availability: Willingness to travel for projects, working out of town on a 4x10 schedule (Monday to Thursday) with overnight stays as needed.
