How You Will Make An Impact
- Field Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train plumbing technicians to effectively meet changing workload demands and company standards.
- Supervise and direct daily field operations, ensuring high-quality equipment repair, installation, start-up, and general plumbing services.
- Review technician performance through formal appraisals, establish clear improvement goals, and conduct regular quality and safety audits.
- Systematize ongoing training programs and lead group safety meetings to keep field crews proficient in the latest service techniques and safety procedures.
- Operations & Dispatch Optimization
- Schedules and directs technician daily assignments to match client service demands with technician skill levels.
- Coordinate closely with dispatch personnel to monitor daily project updates, estimated job completion times, labor hours, and material allocations.
- Manage fleet resources by overseeing assigned service vehicles, ensuring proper maintenance, inventory control, and safe operations.
- Financial & Business Management
- Develop and monitor departmental budgets, financial goals, and key performance indicators to ensure long-term profitability.
- Execute precise audits of work orders, client invoices, and technician time reports to strengthen cash flow and maintain minimal accounts receivable.
- Formulate professional quotes, provide cost estimates for repair and replacement work, and actively generate sales leads to expand service agreements.
- Cultivate vendor relations to manage product warranties, direct material purchasing, and secure specialized parts in a timely manner.
- Proven history of leadership in a fast-paced mechanical or plumbing service environment.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively, manage operational budgets, and direct large field crews.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills tailored for professional interactions with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, service management software, and Microsoft Office for data tracking and operational scheduling.
