The Commonwealth Exchange is a hospitality and food & beverage partner to cultural institutions, creative organizations, and mission-driven spaces. We design and operate elevated, adaptable dining and guest experiences that align with each partner's audience, programming, and community. We are currently seeking enthusiastic Front of House Team Members to support our seasonal operations across multiple food and beverage venues.

Position Summary

Front of House Team Members may work in a variety of guest-facing roles including Server, Bartender, Host/Hostess, Cashier, Food Runner, and Service Support Staff. Team members are expected to provide warm, attentive hospitality while helping maintain smooth and efficient daily operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hospitality experience in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. Paid training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly, welcoming, and professional manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service and create positive guest experiences.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Operate POS systems and process transactions.
• Deliver food and beverages to guests promptly and correctly.
• Assist with seating guests and managing wait lists when applicable.
• Support dining room cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
• Clear and reset tables as needed.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams.
• Maintain knowledge of menus, daily offerings, and venue information.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards.
• Assist fellow team members and support overall venue operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Hospitality, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with service.
• Must meet age requirements for positions involving alcohol service.
• TIPS Certification may be required for certain roles; training and reimbursement opportunities may be available.

Pay: $11.00 - $17.00 per hour
