Job Description

Doctor Sax House is seeking an energetic, hospitality-driven Server / Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a boutique hospitality environment where every guest interaction matters.

As both a server and bartender, you'll create memorable dining and bar experiences while serving hotel guests, local diners, and event attendees. From preparing handcrafted cocktails and recommending wines to providing polished table service, you'll play an essential role in delivering the elevated yet approachable experience that defines Doctor Sax House.

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people, has a passion for food and beverage, and takes pride in anticipating guests' needs before they're asked.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, knowledgeable, and personalized food and beverage service
• Prepare classic and specialty cocktails, beer, wine, coffee, and non-alcoholic beverages to recipe standards
• Guide guests through menus, offering thoughtful food, wine, and cocktail recommendations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting dining room and bar throughout service
• Open and close dining room and bar according to established procedures
• Accurately enter orders and process payments through the POS system
• Assist with setting up and breaking down private events, receptions, and special programming as needed
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking of bar and service stations
• Monitor responsible alcohol service and verify guest identification when necessary
• Work collaboratively with kitchen, hotel, and event teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
• Assist with side work, polishing glassware, stocking inventory, and maintaining overall presentation standards
• Represent Doctor Sax House with professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality at all times

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of serving and/or bartending experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and food service
• Excellent communication and guest service skills
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a close-knit team
• Weekend, evening, and holiday availability required
• TIPS Certification and/or ServeSafe Alcohol certification preferred
• Experience with Toast POS is a plus
