Job Overview:
Responsible for providing a clean and pleasant dining experience by clearing, sanitizing, and resetting tables, and ensuring the dining room is well-stocked and tidy. Assist Servers by preparing tables, serving orders, explaining meals, and facilitating collaboration between kitchen and wait staff. Practice social distancing, observe mask mandates and maintain hand washing routine as ordered by the CDC, Palm Beach County, and the State of Florida.
Essential Job Functions:
- Welcome and greet every guest.
- Consistently provide friendly, engaging and anticipatory guest service and heartfelt hospitality.
- Perform opening and closing procedures, complete checklists and assigned side work. Refill salt, pepper, and other condiments at tables.
- Clean and sanitize assigned areas thoroughly before and after shift end.
- Polish glasses and silverware, fold napkins, clean and sanitize menus, tables, and high touch surfaces.
- Provide immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
- Serve water, bread and butter to guests and refill glasses as needed.
- Serve drinks and meals according to service standards while manage guest orders in a timely and anticipatory manner.
- Adds any additional items to order before it is delivered (condiments, salad dressings, steak knife, etc.).
- Responsible for coordinating table service with front- and back-of-house personnel to provide a guest experience that meets or exceeds guest expectations. Assist in expediting food from the kitchen when necessary.
- Observe guests, respond to additional requests, and determine when the meal has been completed. Notify a server or a manager of any special requests.
- Remove soiled dishes and mark tables between courses.
- Clear, clean and reset vacated tables after guests depart.
- Assists guests in an informative and helpful way.
- Maintain full knowledge of all food & beverage items, garnishes, allergens, contents and preparation methods.
- Maintain clean, orderly and fully stocked service stations. Maintain appropriate stock levels of glassware, silverware, and dishware.
- Mops, sweeps, and performs other cleaning duties throughout the Food & Beverage outlets as needed.
- Maintain the highest level of standards of quality of products and service at all times.
- Advise supervisor/manager of any complaints as soon as they occur.
- Maintain cleanliness or all Food & Beverage outlet areas. Maintain full knowledge of and comply with food safety and sanitation policies at all times.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and personal hygiene.
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task, manage time and work well under pressure.
- Adhere to local and government compliance with health and safety regulations to ensure a clean and safe work environment for guests and employees.
- Maintain knowledge of all safety and emergency procedures and is aware of accident prevention policies.
- Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards.
- Notify Loss Prevention immediately of found items if guest has departed.
- Maintain a professional courteous manner with all guests and fellow employees.
- Assist with special and deep cleaning projects as assigned by a supervisor.
- Perform any other duties as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- 6 months of Food & Beverage experience in a busser/runner/server assistant role.
- Good understanding of steps of service.
- Ability to carry and balance multiple plates/trays.
- Excellent guest service skills and passion for hospitality.
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English.
- Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with guests and co-workers.
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Ability to perform consistent work to the hotel’s high standards.

Education/Experience Requirements:

- Exposure to outdoor environment factors.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach and carry with hands and arms.
