Job Purpose/Description
The purpose of this role is to support the clubs, programs, and services of the Center for Just Living. The Center for Just Living (CJL) is both a space and a resource for all students invested in diversity, social justice, and leadership at the College. This job will also assist the Associate Director of the Office of Multicultural Student Services (MSS) in reviving the Justice League, a leadership council of CJL clubs.
Job Duties
The purpose of this role is to support the clubs, programs, and services of the Center for Just Living. The Center for Just Living (CJL) is both a space and a resource for all students invested in diversity, social justice, and leadership at the College. This job will also assist the Associate Director of the Office of Multicultural Student Services (MSS) in reviving the Justice League, a leadership council of CJL clubs.
Job Duties
- Assist with planning, promoting, and coordinating cultural programming for students
- Assist the Associate Director of MSS in projects as assigned
- Maintain office hours in the CJL and the Associate Director's office, answering questions and maintaining a professional environment
- Assist with keeping the CJL clean and welcoming
- Assist with the Saints Life MSS page as assigned
- Post to social media when assigned
- Assist with Justice League meetings, programs, and training
- Other duties as may be assigned and/or necessary
- Must be a current CSS student for the 2026-2027 academic year.
- Federal work study eligibility is required
- Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, belonging, and social justice
- Computer skills required; specifically Google Suite
- Accurate and responsible (work is sometimes confidential)
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact with a wide variety of people in a friendly, professional manner
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in a busy office environment with frequent interruptions
- Typing proficiency
- Ability to move around the office and sometimes the campus during shift
- Professional presence to represent the College
- Ability to perform all of the above functions during an assigned workday without significant risk of injury
- Punctual and reliable
- Experience as a member of a CJL club
- Experience as a board member for a CJL club
- Experience with a paid job
