The Club at Porto Cima is a private facility and features and 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature
Design, a 17,000 square-foot clubhouse and a Yacht Club. The Nicklaus Signature Course is
the focal point of The Club at Porto Cima with seven holes that play beside or over the Lake of the Ozarks. The golf course opened for play in 2000 and is considered one of Missouri’s top courses by Golf Digest.
Position Summary:
The Golf Shop Attendant assists the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional with all golf shop activities and is responsible for ensuring that members and guests receive outstanding customer service, which meets or exceeds their expectations. The Golf Shop Attendant is instrumental in day-to-day operations of the golf shop along with outings and leagues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate Point of Sale System
- Manage tee sheet inquires and check-ins
- Follow procedures to open, close and secure the golf shop and storage buildings.
- Handle cash flow in the golf shop, ensuring that cash and credit card charges balance with sales receipts in accordance with operating procedures.
- Maintain golf shop and merchandise per Company cleanliness and appearance standards.
- Assist with physical inventory at month end in accordance with inventory procedures.
- Interact with members and guests in a congenial and professional manner.
- Maintain pleasant and professional telephone manner at all times.
- Be knowledgeable of golf shop merchandise. Sell merchandise and/or provide suggestions to patrons as appropriate to meet their needs.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High-school diploma or GED
- Golf Experience
- Ability to work weekends
- Experience in golf industry or customer service preferred
- Demonstrated quality written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.
- Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
