The Childrenās Center of Hamden is seeking a dedicated Visitation Coach to join our Quality Parenting Center (QPC) team. In this parent-empowerment program, you will play a critical role in supporting families involved with DCF whose children have been placed in foster or kinship care. Through supervision, coaching, and guidance, you will help parents build skills, strengthen relationships with their children, and successfully complete the program according to QPC standards.

What Youāll Do
As Visitation Coach, you will:
- Supervise and support parent-child visits in accordance with the DCF-endorsed QPC model, ensuring safe, structured, and effective interactions.
- Facilitate pre- and post-visit meetings, coach parents in real time, and support them in understanding their childās needs and appropriate interactions.
- Develop visitation plans and visit goals collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and DCF.
- Participate in planning and coordinating discharges when permanency goals are achieved.
- Ensure all documentation of visits is accurate, timely, and completed according to agency standards.
- Collaborate closely with the QPC Program Manager, Program Director, and DCF to ensure program standards are met and families achieve successful outcomes.
- Maintain professionalism, uphold agency policies, and contribute to a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for families and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support program success.
What Weāre Looking For
- Associateās degree required; Bachelorās degree preferred.
- Valid Connecticut driverās license with a clean driving record
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Experience working with families in a social services, child welfare, or behavioral health setting is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with families, staff, and external partners.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to perform light to moderate lifting, standing, walking, bending, and other physical tasks as needed.
- Potential exposure to bodily fluids and other environmental hazards in a residential treatment setting
