The Children’s Center of Hamden is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented QPC Scheduler to support our Quality Parenting Center (QPC) program. In this vital role, you will coordinate and manage visitation schedules for families involved with DCF, ensuring smooth operations that support safe, structured, and meaningful parent-child connections. What You’ll Do
As Scheduling Coordinator, you will:
- Coordinate andmaintainvisitation schedules for the QPC program, including evenings and weekends, in collaboration with DCF staff and area offices.
- Schedule and organize family visits, informational meetings, and related program activities.
- Arrange transportation for children, parents, and caregivers, ensuring all logistical needs are met.
- Maintain daily logs of visits and transportation and prepare reports asrequired.
- Ensure staff coverage forcall-outs, vacations, and scheduling gaps.
- Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, DCF staff, and internal teams to ensure seamless coordination of services.
- Ensureall scheduling and client information is handled in a HIPAA-compliant and confidential manner.
- Verify transport staff are equipped with necessary materials (e.g., car seats, first aid kits, PPE).
- Participate in team meetings,trainings, and ongoing professional development.
- Support administrative functions and performadditionalduties as needed to support program operations.
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GEDrequired.
- Experience in scheduling, administrative support, or human servicesstronglypreferred.
- Knowledge of child welfare systems, family dynamics, or social services is a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and external partners.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to perform light lifting, standing, walking, bending, and other physical tasks as needed.
- Potential exposure to bodily fluids and other environmental hazards in aservicesetting
