We are currently looking for a Full Time Exhibit C Gallery Manager to join our Exhibit C Team team located at the Exhibit C working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.

Summary:
This position oversees the operations of Exhibit C Gallery located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, ensuring that the facility is managed in a manner that provides an excellent level of customer service while maximizing efficiencies. Responsible for overseeing staff, inventory, Exhibit C operations, marketing and sales and the cleanliness of the gallery. The Exhibit C Manager also serves as an art consultant for clients and manages all special projects in relation to Exhibit C. The position oversees seven day a week operation and the Gallery is open Wednesday - Monday from 10 am – 6 pm. The Gallery Manager will still work on Tuesdays to put up art.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop team by hiring, training, scheduling, providing performance reviews and promoting career development to cultivate qualified, efficient staff to achieve exemplary guest service and salesmanship
  • Oversee art and retail inventory for the facility
  • Direct the overall functioning of the gallery, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality exhibitions
  • Handle the installation and care of artworks, including the logistics of receiving and returning art pieces
  • Collaborate with the Tourism Art Manager to curate, schedule and organize exhibitions
  • Actively drive sales by training staff members with superior sales and customer service-related skills
  • Provide feedback and coaching, ensuring the team is qualitatively and quantitatively aligned with the business goals
  • Pursues opportunities to extend the reach and reputation of Exhibit C as a locally and nationally recognized gallery
  • Works with artists and the Tourism Art Manager to integrate interactive spaces in the gallery for community engagement
  • Writes content and coordinates with Tourism Communications and Tourism Marketing to promote Exhibit C via e-mail newsletters, social media and digital and traditional marketing channels, providing final approval
  • With the Director, develop the Exhibit C annual budget
  • With the Tourism Marketing Assistant Director, create an annual Exhibit C marketing plan
  • Analyze monthly budget to actual reports, adjusting monthly to ensure adherence to the annual budget
  • Oversee and analyze the tracking and reporting of monthly statistics such as art and retail sales, consignment sales, visitors, social media, communications and marketing
  • Approve ERP, IDP and other documentation according to the Delegation of Authority
  • Manage up to seven revenue-generating, First American artist studio contracts, ensuring compliance with all building and sales requirements
  • Perform quarterly physical inventory audits
  • Responsible for cataloging art inventory in the digital catalog
  • Book, plan and oversee the servicing of events, groups and programming
  • Responsible for packaging and shipping of artwork from online, phone and in-store sales
  • Serves as an art consultant for hospitality, residential and corporate clients
  • Updates and maintains gallery website, including adding and removing artists, inventory and content
  • Establish and maintain relationships with artists, vendors, institutions and customers
  • Must utilize AP and Chickasaw Writers Guide for writing activities and Protocol Manual for all events/functions
  • Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
  • Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner

  • 3 years directly related experience


Education:
Essential:
  • Bachelors Degree in directly related field
  • High School, GED or Equivalent


Essential:
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university is required Art-related degree is preferred
  • Three years of art gallery or retail management experience required. Experience in managing a multi-service retail environment preferred. Current or past participation in the Chickasaw Nation Division of Commerce Fast Track Leadership Training Program may be substituted for any of the above listed experience at the discretion of the Chief Operation Officer and approved by the Chief Executive Officer and/or Governor.
