The Catering Director leads all catering operations for a university in Albany, bringing strategic leadership and a deep passion for exceptional event experiences to a dynamic, guest-focused campus catering program. This role is responsible for driving revenue, developing and managing a high-performing catering team, and overseeing all aspects of catering sales, planning, and execution across a diverse range of university events and functions.
 
Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Catering Director or senior catering leadership role within a university, hotel, resort, or similar full-service hospitality or food service environment
• Strong operational and financial skills with a demonstrated ability to drive catering revenue growth, manage budgets, and deliver exceptional event experiences across a diverse range of university functions and client needs
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing catering team while building and maintaining strong relationships with university stakeholders, clients, and vendors

Responsibilities

• Oversee all catering operations for the university, including event planning, coordination, and execution, ensuring exceptional service quality, guest satisfaction, and alignment with the university's brand standards and event expectations
• Drive catering revenue through proactive sales efforts, strategic planning, and collaborative engagement with culinary, events, and university leadership teams to maximize catering performance and growth
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing catering team while fostering a culture of hospitality, accountability, and continuous improvement in a dynamic university catering environment
