Duties
- Curate and manage an extensive wine list, ensuring a diverse selection that complements our menu offerings
- Provide expert wine recommendations and serve wine with professionalism, ensuring proper presentation and service techniques
- Lead staff training on wine knowledge, service standards, and upselling strategies to maximize sales opportunities
- Oversee menu planning in collaboration with culinary teams to create harmonious food and beverage pairings
- Drive sales through effective upselling techniques while maintaining excellent customer service and hospitality standards
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and inventory control
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations, proper food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service practices
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant or food service environments, preferably within fine dining or banquet settings
- Extensive wine knowledge with the ability to educate staff and guests about different varieties, regions, and tasting notes
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced hospitality setting
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on personalized guest interactions and satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety standards, serving protocols, and food handling procedures
- Culinary experience or background is highly desirable to enhance menu planning and food pairing expertise
