We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce detailed images of internal organs, tissues, and blood flow for diagnostic purposes
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort throughout the examination
- Maintain precise documentation of procedures in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic or EMR systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to interpret images and provide comprehensive reports for diagnosis
- Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures to ensure patient safety
- Manage medical equipment operation efficiently, including Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for storing and retrieving images
- Maintain a thorough understanding of human anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology standards to enhance image quality and diagnostic accuracy
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Ultrasound Technologist or Sonographer in a hospital or clinical setting with a strong understanding of medical imaging procedures
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment
- Solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology standards
- Experience managing Electronic Health Records (EHR), Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), and EMR systems like Epic is highly desirable
- Ability to perform high-quality sonography while maintaining patient comfort and safety using aseptic techniques
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and explain procedures clearly to patients
- Certification as a registered sonographer (RDMS or ARDMS) or equivalent is preferred
- Knowledge of medical equipment operation including fluoroscopy units and other diagnostic tools
