Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Support medical procedures by preparing patients and assisting with tasks like pap smear collection, IUD/Nexplanon insertions, and EMBs.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper medical documentation of care provided
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care delivery
- Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to prevent the spread of infectious diseases
Skills
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant with current state licensure or registration
- Experience working with diverse patient populations.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic anatomy knowledge
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and competently using appropriate patient transfer methods
- Strong caregiver communication skills to provide compassionate support and education to patients and their families
- Proficiency in CPR and basic life support (BLS) techniques to respond effectively during emergencies
- Prior experience in hospital medicine, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities or home & community care environments is highly valued
