Responsibilities
- Perform detailed physical examinations and health assessments for patients of all ages, including adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Prognocis to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations using laboratory tests, medical imaging, sonography, and other advanced tools to inform clinical decisions.
- Engage in patient education and health coaching to promote wellness and disease prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists (e.g., MFM) and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practices.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical documentation for legal and billing purposes.
Skills
- Proven experience working with electronic health records systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, or EMR/EHR management tools.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, pharmacology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Experience in Women's Health, Labor and Delivery, or Postpartum care preferred.
- Knowledge of CPT coding and ICD coding standards for accurate billing and documentation.
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with a compassionate approach to working with individuals across all age groups.
