What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN Licensed Practical Nurse position at The Center for Counseling & Consultation?
Position Summary: This is a 16-19 hour a week position with no benefits. This position is responsible for working with a responsible physician through protocols agreed upon by the physician and APRN to assist patients maintain daily living by providing assistance with basic nursing needs, administrative functions and outpatient patient care.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting med team with treatment of patients
- Transmit prescriptions orders pursuant to protocol/Patient Assistance Program applications, assist with refills, complete and track pre-authorizations
- Perform functions of basic nursing for agency patients, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Perform physical exam of patients in need of medical update/administer injections as ordered
- Conduct patient history for record keeping purposes
- Conduct UA’s, Genesight swabs and pregnancy testing
- Conduct medical inventory
- Assess normal and abnormal laboratory values
- Consult with appropriate internal or external staff to provide acute and ongoing health care or referral
- Create and maintain accurate records in EHR
- Provide counsel to patients regarding health and illness issues
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $24.52 - $26.92 per hour
