Position Summary::
The Carroll School seeks teaching candidates with a growth mindset and a passion and commitment to lifelong learning. We are seeking candidates with experience in teaching students with language-based learning differences and who are drawn to acquire the necessary competencies to successfully teach our type of learners.
Responsibilities:
- Teach 5th grade math classes consisting of 8-11 students.
- Apply a multisensory, diagnostic, prescriptive approach to instruction.
- Create highly focused data-informed lesson plans specific to student’s needs.
- Work with the Lower School curricular team to develop and customize grade level curriculum through a culturally responsive lens.
- Develop positive working relationships with all constituencies: students, parents, colleagues, and administration.
- Serve as the Homeroom teacher/ Advisor for 8-10 students. Act as primary liaison between the school and the families of assigned students.
- Teach a language-based flex class
- Monitor and support students’ academic progress, social-emotional development, and overall well-being.
- Participate in school-sponsored professional development.
- Assist in after-school program activities.
- Perform other duties as required.
Salary : $60,100 - $102,157
