Position Summary
The principal responsibility of this position is to support AlpInvest's Legal, Compliance and Tax Teams globally. This individual will be responsible for preparing and managing legal documents and processes, tax, regulatory and other filings, providing general support and assisting in developing and implementing best practices. This position must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a deadline-oriented environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide main support to the Legal Entity Management processes and document management.
- Coordinate the uploading of Distribution/Placement Agreements.
- Assist with AML/KYC fulfillment requests from counterparties.
- Assist with LP transfer requests.
- Draft, review and file meeting notes, structure charts, tax forms, resolutions and other documents under the supervision of the Legal, Tax and Compliance Teams.
- Coordinate the execution of various documents.
- Assist in completing regulatory, tax and other filings and applications.
- Assist in developing and implementing knowledge management best practices.
- Other duties as needed and assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 4 years legal experience at a law, regulatory, private equity fund, hedge fund or asset management firm is preferred.
- Superior work ethic, strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with strong follow-through skills.
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Flexibility to juggle multiple and changing priorities.
- Resourcefulness in executing projects.
- Collaborative/teamwork attitude and skills a must.
- Strong computer and Internet research skills.
- Notary Public preferred.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat skills.
Benefits/Compensation
The compensation range for this role is specific to New York City and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $75,000 to $115,000.
In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs. Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
