Responsibilities
- Policy sales & customization: Solicit and write new P&C policies, assess client needs and exposures, and recommend appropriate coverage options.
- Renewals & retention: Maintain relationships with existing clients, review coverage periodically, and secure renewals.
- Cross-selling: Identify opportunities to add complementary insurance products to client portfolios.
- Client service: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and carriers, explaining policy terms, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Risk assessment: Educate clients on risk factors, advise on prevention, and help tailor coverage to their situation.
- Application & underwriting: Gather information for quotations, submit applications to carriers, and work with account managers or underwriters to complete coverage.
- Claims support: Assist clients through the claims process, coordinate with carriers, and help resolve issues.
- Account management: Maintain accurate records in agency management systems and CRM tools; track trends and report on business performance.
- Premium collection: Ensure timely premium payments and follow up on collections when necessary.
- Carrier relations: Build professional relationships with underwriters through consistent, high-quality risk submissions and visits
Requirements
- Current P&C insurance license in the state of employment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with computer systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated, relationship-focused, and adaptable.
Salary : $35,000 - $70,000
