The Butcher’s Daughter is coming to Austin, and we’re building our opening team!
The Butcher’s Daughter is a plant-forward restaurant, café, and juice bar known for vibrant, seasonal food, thoughtful hospitality, and spaces designed to bring people together. With locations in Los Angeles and New York, we’re excited to bring The Butcher’s Daughter to South Congress in Austin.
We’re currently looking for hospitality forward, experienced, energetic, and hospitality-driven Bartenders to join our opening team.
THE ROLEOur Bartenders are an essential part of both the guest experience and the energy of the restaurant. We’re looking for experienced hospitality professionals who can execute a thoughtful beverage program while creating a warm, engaging experience for every guest at the bar.
This is a high-volume restaurant, so our ideal Bartenders are fast, organized, knowledgeable, and confident behind the bar while never losing sight of hospitality.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide warm, engaging, and knowledgeable service to all bar guests
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, coffee, and non-alcoholic beverages according to our recipes and standards
- Develop a thorough understanding of our cocktail, wine, beer, and zero-proof beverage programs
- Maintain strong knowledge of the food menu, ingredients, and dietary considerations
- Confidently make beverage and food recommendations to guests
- Execute cocktails accurately and consistently while maintaining speed during high-volume service
- Manage bar guests while simultaneously fulfilling service-well tickets
- Accurately enter orders and process guest payments
- Maintain proper bar setup, organization, cleanliness, and stocking throughout service
- Complete opening, closing, prep, and side-work responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs to management
- Follow proper pouring, measuring, recipe, and portion-control standards
- Check identification and follow all applicable alcohol-service laws and company policies
- Communicate effectively with Servers, Barbacks, Hosts, Kitchen, and Management
- Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns professionally
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming bar environment
- Work collaboratively with the entire FOH and BOH team
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and company standards
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented workplace
- Ability to Barista is a PLUS (or at least must be able to learn*
- Minimum 3 years of bartending experience in a busy, high-volume restaurant or bar required
- Strong cocktail knowledge and proper bartending technique
- Solid knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Comfortable working a high-volume service well while also providing attentive bar service
- Ability to execute cocktails quickly, accurately, and consistently
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize during busy service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Genuine interest in hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
- Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail
- Positive attitude and team-first mentality
- Reliable, professional, and punctual
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
