Job Title: Safety Manager, Human Resource

Pay Rate: $80,000-$85,000 /Annual salary

As the Safety Manager of the Human Resources Team, this position is responsible for leading and maintaining a comprehensive safety and risk management program across all departments. This role ensures compliance with OSHA and state regulations, manages workers’ compensation claims, and promotes a proactive safety culture aligned with The Broadmoor’s luxury service standards.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Complete and file First Report of Injury with insurance carrier in a timely manner.
  • Complete and file accidents on OSHA log. Complete OSHA log 300 on a yearly basis.
  • Set up and maintain employee accident files.
  • Perform case management and follow-up meetings on each accident and workers’ compensation case.
  • Organize and conduct quarterly Workers’ Compensation open case review with carrier(s), attorneys and other appropriate parties.
  • Conduct Workers’ Compensation and Safety training on an on-going basis to include departmental safety walks and audits.
  • Organize and facilitate a safety committee for the hotel.
  • Verifies and audits Workers’ Compensation billing.
  • Work closely with Leave Specialist to maintain all physician notes from employees to ensure HIPPA compliance.
  • Ensures OSHA compliance & training is consistent throughout the Hotel.
  • Coordinate and manage the modified duty program.
  • Administers the driver’s license record check program.
  • Conducts Orientation safety training for New Employee Orientation.
  • Work with the Training team to create and implement safety training.
  • Responsible for tracking the worker’s compensation budget
  • Assist the Director of Human Resources with special projects as assigned.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned by the Director of Human Resources or the Vice President of Human Resources.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in safety management or a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards (e.g., 29 CFR 1910). Proven experience managing workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work programs
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety practices, risk assessments, and incident investigations
  • Excellent communication skills to engage employees at all levels, work with claims adjustors, lawyers, and workman’s compensation broker.
  • Proficiency in maintaining safety records and preparing compliance reports. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments to promote a culture of safety.
