What You Will Be Doing
- Responsible for hiring, termination procedures and performance management of up to 35 Player Services staff members, up to 15 Golf Shop staff members, up to 25 Starter/Marshals, up to 5 Locker Room employees and up to 3 Valet staff members
- Be comfortable, willing, and dedicated to managing all team members and holding them accountable, to the standards of the hotel, including, grooming, professionalism, promptness, customer service and all service standards. Must not be hesitant or unwilling to address staff with these standards.
- Work closely with the Player Service Manager to ensure operations regarding bag movement, golf cart operation and practice range operations are conducted in the standards as outlined by the Director of Golf
- Ensure there is organization and cleanliness in all areas of the golf operation, including Player Services, Range Operations, Bag Room Operations, Tournament Operations, Starter/Marshals, Locker Rooms, Caddy Program and Valet
- Manage the golf operations for two golf courses on a daily basis through the sales and promotions of golf for guests and members
- Ensure all service standards are trained and followed by all staff
- Oversee the Tournament Office to include all hotel group events and local fundraisers, including contracting and administration of events and that all tournament calendars are accurate
- Well knowledge in Golf Genius and/or similar golf software
- Oversee the Agilisys program as it relates to all golf operational aspects
- Oversee rental clubs and daily inventories and accountability with the Player Services Team
- Oversee all ordering and handling of all supplies related to player services including pencils, tees, ball marks, scorecards, towels, etc.
- Oversee administration of all lost and found through coordination with Loss Prevention
- Complete required payroll, scheduling, and administrative reports for the operation
- Carry out and enforce all club policies
- Ability to prepare and meet annual budget requirements
- Work closely with the Director of Golf in the planning and execution of USGA Championships and other major tournaments
- Manages 5 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 75 employees. Also directly supervises 2 non-supervisory employees.

- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred from a four-year college or university; or six years related golf operations experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Class “A” P.G.A. member in good standing.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and non-potable water. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the environment is loud.
- The employee is occasionally required to lift/pull/push up to 100 pounds.
