What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Operations position at The Bolton Group?
JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Operations has direct responsibility for manufacturing and key support process operations. The Director of Operations also leads additional functions that occur at the facility, such as shipping and distribution. This position will look to achieve continuous improvements in the areas of efficiency, quality, safety, customer service and leadership.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Oversee manufacturing operations for a commercial facility
- Lead the achievement of a zero-injury workplace
- Responsible for all aspects of production and achieving key performance measurements related to personnel safety, quality and food safety, service, and cost, while continually improving process reliability and performance
- Build a culture of mutual respect, teamwork, and professionalism
- Extend capabilities to meet market needs and support profitable growth of the products produced by the facility
- Reports and takes any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring
- Ensures compliance with all environmental health and safety regulations and ensuring sustainability.
- Actively Participate in Root Cause Problem Solving techniques
- Participate in daily Huddle meetings
WHO YOU ARE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Food Science, or a technical field. ·
- An MBA degree would be a plus
- 12 years of increasingly responsible manufacturing experience, at least 5 of which must be in the food industry
- 4 years of direct supervisory experience
- Demonstrated leadership around personnel safety
- Track record leading the improvement of operations while delivering day to day performance
- Familiarity with the operations of all plant departments: production, quality, maintenance, materials management, controllership, etc.
- Participative management style and excellent organizational and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience building a strong management team
- Strong business acumen and working knowledge process control and improvement tools.
Salary : $180,000 - $200,000
