We’re looking for an experienced

RV Service Technician who enjoys troubleshooting, solving complex problems, and continuously improving their technical skills.

This is an opportunity to work on far more than routine repairs. RV technicians work across multiple skilled trades — including

electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, LP gas, What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, LP gas, hydraulic, and other RV systems

  • Troubleshoot

12V and 120V electrical systems

  • Use systematic diagnostic processes to identify the

    root cause of equipment failures

  • Complete approved repairs accurately and efficiently

  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, OEM documentation, technical manuals, and service bulletins

  • Document diagnostics, repairs, findings, and recommendations thoroughly

  • Communicate clearly regarding repair status, findings, and expectations

  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas

  • Follow proper safety procedures and manufacturer specifications

  • Continue developing technical knowledge through training and RV industry certifications

  • Participate in an on-call rotation as you become established in the position

What We’re Looking For
  • 3 years of hands-on technical or skilled-trade experience

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability

  • Electrical knowledge, particularly

12V and 120V systems

  • Ability to diagnose problems rather than simply replace components

  • Strong documentation and organizational habits

  • Clear, professional communication skills

  • Valid, clean driver’s license

  • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and continually improve

Experience specifically in RV service is valuable, but candidates with strong multi-trade troubleshooting backgrounds may also translate well into the position.

Additional Experience That Stands Out

Experience with any combination of:

  • RV service and repair

  • HVAC or refrigeration

  • Electrical

  • Plumbing

  • LP gas systems

  • Hydraulics

  • Slide-out and leveling systems

  • Manufacturer diagnostic information and wiring diagrams

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on technician position. Candidates must be comfortable:

  • Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Working in heat, cold, and rain when necessary

  • Climbing ladders and working on RV roofs

  • Accessing tight or confined spaces

  • Lifting up to

100 lbs.

Compensation & Career Growth

Starting base pay begins around $18/hour, with significantly higher earning potential based on certification level and productivity.

RVTI-certified technicians commonly average approximately

$25–$28/hour, while highly certified and productive technicians can earn considerably more.

The compensation structure is designed so that technicians have a

base-pay floor for slower periods while gaining increased earning potential through productivity and certification advancement.

Technicians can progress through multiple development levels, including:

Training Technician → RVTI Level 1 → Level 2 → Level 3 → Level 4

Each advancement provides an opportunity to increase earning potential. Technicians can also benefit as labor rates increase with market conditions.
