What are the responsibilities and job description for the RV Service Technician position at The Blue Collar Recruiter?
Looking for a technician role where every day brings a new challenge? We’re hiring an RV Service Technician who enjoys troubleshooting, solving problems, and working across multiple systems instead of doing the same repair over and over.
You’ll work on everything from 12V/120V electrical and HVAC to plumbing, refrigeration, LP gas, hydraulics, slide systems, and more.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair RV systems and components
- Troubleshoot electrical, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical issues
- Find the root cause of problems — not just replace parts
- Read wiring diagrams, service manuals, and OEM documentation
- Complete repairs accurately and efficiently
- Document work and communicate repair status clearly
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of hands-on technical or skilled-trade experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with 12V/120V electrical systems preferred
- Valid, clean driver’s license
- Strong communication and documentation habits
- Willingness to learn, grow, and continue developing technical skills
RV experience is a plus, but backgrounds in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, hydraulics, or other skilled trades may transfer well.
Schedule & Pay
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM rotating Saturdays
Starting base pay begins around $18/hour, with higher earning potential based on RVTI certification level and productivity. Certified technicians commonly average around $25–$28/hour, with additional upside as skills and production increase.
