JOB SUMMARY:
The Material Expeditor is responsible for timely identification, movement, tracking, and accountability of materials required for the repair and overhaul of landing gear, fuel tanks, pylons, screw jacks, hydraulics, guns, hydrozene, hydrostats and pneudraulics systems supporting aircraft platforms including the C-5, C-17, C-130, B-1B, B-2, B-52, KC-135, A-10, T-38, E-2, E-3, F-4, F-15, F-16, F-22, F-35, MH-53, and MH-60.
Qualifications:
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- At least a minimum of two (2) years’ related work experience in a distribution warehouse environment.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Good working knowledge of the USAF supply systems, programs, policies and manuals, in addition to proper methods of inventory control and the associated terminology and other accepted or required standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, be able to acquire and maintain any and all necessary security clearances and be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Locate, transport, and stage materials between storage, production and repair areas IAW government-established schedules, priorities, and mission requirements
- Review production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine material requirements, quantities, availability, and urgency
- Coordinate daily with government supervisors and shop personnel to identify overdue materials, communicate material status, and resolve shortages that may impact production flow or aircraft readiness
- Move materials using carts, hand trucks, or other approved material-handling equipment
- Maintain accurate records of all materials distributed, received, or on hand
- Direct Power-Truck Operators or Material Handling Laborers, when required, to expedite material movement and shall verify that materials at workstations match work ticket specifications
- Prepare and maintain production records, timecards, and other required documentation
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
