Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fine dining, banquet preparation, and kitchen management. As a key member of our culinary leadership, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality and safety standards are met, and support menu planning and food production. Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including shift management and team coordination
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations
- Oversee inventory control, manage food ordering, and monitor stock levels to minimize waste
- Lead menu planning and develop new dishes that align with restaurant standards and guest expectations
- Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail and quality
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation across all dishes
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance skills in food handling, culinary techniques, and customer service
- Manage kitchen workflow efficiently during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver seamless food service experiences
Experience
- Proven experience in fine dining establishments or upscale restaurants with a strong background in culinary arts
- Supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, including team management and shift oversight
- Experience with banquet catering, event planning, or large-scale food production is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dietary requirements, food safety protocols, inventory management, and food handling procedures
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop culinary teams
- Strong background in menu development, food presentation, and kitchen management practices
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards related to catering, restaurant operations, and food service management
