Overview:
The Axel Group is seeking a Superintendent for our client's team. This role involves overseeing residential construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality homes are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will maintain excellent safety, quality, and cleanliness standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations on the construction site and coordinate with subcontractors
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, OSHA standards, and quality expectations
- Monitor project schedules, inspections, and overall progress
- Maintain safety protocols, site cleanliness, and organization
- Review plans and shop drawings, proactively identifying potential issues
- Track punch lists and ensure all project documentation is completed accurately
- Communicate regularly with project managers and internal teams
- Foster strong relationships with subcontractors, inspectors, and clients
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of residential construction experience, with a preference for homebuilding
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, trades, and scheduling
- Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with construction management software (Procore or similar) is preferred
- OSHA certification is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to walk job sites, including roofs; lift and carry up to 25 lbs
Compensation:
Salary ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, based on experience.
