Position Overview
The Axel Gorup is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Technician / Drafter to join our client's team in thier Quakertown office. This role will support the production of structural construction documents for residential projects, working closely with engineers and project teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed structural drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD
- Interpret and incorporate redlines, markups, and design revisions into final drawings
- Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, and internal teams to support project delivery
- Assist in the development of foundation plans, framing layouts, and structural details
- Maintain drawing organization and ensure compliance with company and industry standards
- Manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
- 0–5 years of experience in CAD drafting (structural, architectural, or civil preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with residential or production homebuilder projects
- Exposure to structural drafting concepts (framing, load paths, etc.)
- Familiarity with building codes and construction documentation standards
Salary : $45,000 - $70,000
