New York City FC is seeking a Performance Analysis Intern to support the delivery of performance analysis services within NYCFC's Academy. Reports to the Academy Technical Director (Sporting department). Locations: St. John's University (Queens, NY) and CFA New York (Orangeburg, NY). Compensation: $17/hour; must commit to the full Academy season (August-May).
What you'll do: Film, code and database daily training sessions as requested; produce biweekly and monthly training reports; create and organise pre/post-match analysis support assets (folder structures, report templates, etc.); film and basic-code Academy games when required; contribute to the wider working and development of the Academy programme; ensure operational requirements such as uploading game footage to the correct platforms are met on deadline; attend Academy and other meetings as requested.
What you'll bring: Good knowledge of soccer (former player, coach or similar); proficient computer literacy and the ability to learn new software and processes quickly; familiarity with major performance-analysis software (Sportscode, Match Analysis, Prozone, Hudl, Taka), Microsoft software (Excel, PowerPoint) and Mac software (Keynote, iBooks Author) strongly preferred; experience filming sporting events (ideally soccer) from a coaching perspective preferred; flexibility to work varying hours including evenings and weekends; ability to commit for the full Academy season; strong time-management and communication skills.
Additional requirements: Must comply with NYCFC child-safety policies; able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays; must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
