What are the responsibilities and job description for the Evening Custodian (Part-time) position at The Askew Group, LLC?
We are looking for an A Professional Cleaner to add as part of our team in carrying out nightly cleaning, maintenance, and security duties at a jobsite in Downtown Norfolk and in North Suffolk/Portsmouth area! Let our team support you in your part-time endeavor and reaching your goals. Hourly pay is based on experience and responsibilites. We are not looking for someone to complete both locations by themselves. We are looking for multiple team members! OUR PAY IS WEEKLY!
Norfolk Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
North Suffolk/Portsmouth Schedule:
- Tuesday and Friday
- 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Responsibilities / Qualifications
- Clean and Sanitize designated building areas
- Nightly tasks include but are not limited to; Dusting, Vacuuming, Sweeping, Mopping, Sanitizing various surfaces, restroom cleaning, trash removal, etc.
- Sanitization is crucial, must be familiar with hospital grade cleaning.
- Must be able to lift 30lbs at a time
- Must be able to properly run an automatic floor machine (training provided)
- Perform and document routine maintenance activities
- Monthly Detail cleaning- dusting baseboards, blinds, edges/corners, etc.
- A strong team member mentality and a pleasure to work with
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs on any equipment
- Re-Stock and maintain supplies in bathrooms, kitchen areas, and janitor closet.
- Follow all OSHA health and safety regulations
- Reliability and dependability is a must.
- Reliable Non-Public Transportation and a valid driver's license is also required.
Skills
- Eye for detail and confident in cleaning abilities
- Proven working experience as a Janitor or Custodian in a commercial or hospital setting
- Ability to learn to use a automatic floor machine
- Understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Detail oriented
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
- Integrity and ability to work independently
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
