This is an Onsite 6-month contract role based in Sparks, NV, offering a competitive pay rate of $107.00 per hour. This senior-level role requires 14 years of relevant experience in high-complexity design, focusing on creating and reviewing layouts, models, and drawings for advanced aerospace and defense systems.
Role Details
- Compensation: Competitive pay rate of $107.00 per hour.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and execute highly complex technical designs for a wide range of systems, including advanced mission payloads, electronic systems, and orbital/space exploration systems.
- Create and meticulously review layouts, drawings, and models to ensure clarity, completeness, and accuracy, adhering to technical standards.
- Identify design errors, omissions, and deficiencies, and recommend necessary revisions and improvements to design integrity.
- Collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary design and development teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Apply advanced knowledge of engineering principles and leverage Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools to support design execution.
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and typically 14 or more years of relevant experience (A higher degree or related experience may substitute).
- Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and design practices in a technical development environment.
- Experience using Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools for complex design work.
- Prior experience applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with industry-standard design principles, including parametric design, model-based definition, and material/component selection.
- Preferred experience with CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS, Creo, NX, or CATIA, and a background in the Aerospace & Defense Industry.
