Pay Rate/Range: $25/hr
Description: We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform daily preventive maintenance and repair tasks on production equipment to help keep equipment operational and support production needs. This role works closely with operations and management to minimize unnecessary downtime, analyze and correct mechanical problems, maintain maintenance-related records, perform facilities maintenance, and contribute to ongoing improvements in plant operations. The position may be on-call at times for service needs and requires adherence to company safety, quality, environmental, and other applicable policies, codes, standards, and regulations.
Job Requirements: Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED; post-secondary coursework in a related discipline is preferred. Applicants should have basic knowledge of maintenance functions, with detailed knowledge of electrical systems and controls desired; PLC and/or HVAC troubleshooting experience is a plus. Candidates must be able to work independently, troubleshoot problems as they arise, be familiar with state and federal OSHA regulations, and demonstrate strong technical, problem-solving, time-management, and organizational skills. One to three years of maintenance experience is desirable but not required. The position may require lifting up to 75 lbs, prolonged standing and walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and working around moving mechanical parts and vehicles in moderate-to-loud noise and production-floor temperatures ranging from the mid-50s in winter to over 100°F in summer.
