Pay Rate/Range: $25-28/hr.
Description: This role is responsible for setting up and operating manual machining equipment such as lathes, mills, and honing machines to produce precision aerospace components. This role involves interpreting complex engineering drawings and GD&T, machining a variety of materials, and maintaining extremely tight tolerances while adhering to strict aerospace quality and safety standards. The machinist performs precise measurements and in-process inspections, finishes parts to specification, documents work for traceability, maintains equipment and a safe workspace, and collaborates with quality and engineering teams to resolve any machining or dimensional issues.
Job Requirements: The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (machining certification preferred) and 3–7 years of manual machining experience, ideally in aerospace or another high-precision industry. They should be skilled in GD&T, blueprint reading, precision measurement, and working with tight tolerances and detailed instructions. Preferred qualifications include experience with AS9100 quality systems, Tier 1 aerospace environments, basic CNC knowledge, and tool grinding or custom tooling experience.
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Shift/Schedule: 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday
