Role Overview:
We’re seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Support Specialist to join our dynamic Clinical Supports team. In this role, you’ll design and implement individualized strategies and support plans that address behavioral and developmental needs. You’ll collaborate closely with program staff and leadership to ensure these plans are effectively integrated into daily operations, enhancing the quality of care and outcomes for those we serve.
Reports To: Team Lead, Behavior Supports
Location: In-person at our Fairfield, NJ office, with travel to program sites across Essex County as needed
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop individualized strategies and support plans, with a focus on consumers demonstrating ASD or related issues
- Collaborate with Program Managers and the Clinical Support Team to ensure effective implementation and ongoing evaluation of plans
- Develop programming that supports behavioral and developmental goals
- Provide targeted training to staff for successful plan execution
- Ensure compliance with state-mandated protocols for behavior plan development, approval, and implementation
- Conduct in-service training to address specific behavioral needs
- Participate in Interdisciplinary Team meetings and attend relevant consumer appointments
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals
Education / Work Experience / Skills:
- Experience in developing support plans and strategies required
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Special Education, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 3 year experience working with DDD population, specifically ASD required
- Strong understanding of behavior support principles and positive behavior interventions
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to train and coach staff effectively
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within Essex County
- Commitment to person-centered practices and inclusive values
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,000.00 - $71,000.00 per year
