Direct Support Professional – Community Services

Join our Community Services team and make a meaningful difference by supporting people with disabilities as they build independence and live fulfilling lives in their communities. You'll provide person-centered support, encourage community involvement, help individuals achieve their personal goals, and promote choice, dignity, and inclusion every step of the way.
Position Details
Location: Hudson, NY
Pay Rate: $17.00–$17.50 per hour (based on program)
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM or
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (depending on program)

Key Responsibilities
- Support people we support in making choices and decisions that promote independence and self-advocacy.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks, as needed.
- Encourage participation in community activities, volunteer opportunities, recreational events, and social experiences.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive environment while promoting dignity and inclusion.
- Assist people we support in achieving personal goals and developing life skills.
- Document services provided and communicate progress to ensure person-centered support.
- Follow all agency policies, required training, safety procedures, and documentation requirements.
