Position Summary:
The Project Engineer supports the Project Manager and Superintendent in the successful execution of assigned construction projects. This role helps oversee project safety, quality control, scheduling, documentation, and communication with architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
The position reports to the Project Manager and may require time working on-site alongside the Superintendent. Occasional travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Documentation
- Develop a strong understanding of all contract drawings, specifications, addenda, RFIs, and project documentation.
- Manage and maintain project documentation and document control systems.
- Track and coordinate changes to project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Maintain and update project records including RFIs, ASIs, and as-built drawings.
Field & Project Support
- Assist with job site setup and startup, including safety postings, security practices, field office setup, temporary utilities, staging areas, equipment coordination, and manpower planning.
- Support coordination of internal teams, subcontractors, and third-party vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Conduct daily jobsite walks with the Superintendent and assist with daily safety audits.
- Coordinate building inspections, subcontractor inspections, and regulatory agency requirements.
Team & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Support the Project Manager and field team to ensure successful project execution.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Participate in the review of project documents for constructability, including shop drawings.
- Assist in creating and implementing site-specific emergency action plans.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or
- 10 years of relevant construction experience.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with:

- Bluebeam
- Procore
- Strong understanding of construction industry practices, procedures, and market trends.
