Summary

CoBeck Construction has an immediate opportunity for a Project Manager to meet our current workload demands and future growth opportunities. The Project Manager is responsible for overall project planning, estimating/bidding, schedules, contract management, project cost reporting and cost control for multiple projects The Project Manager is also responsible for new business development and maintaining existing client relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set-up and develop preliminary estimates, competitive bids and proposals, and project schedules for multiple projects in a very busy and friendly construction office environment.
  • Originate and manage owner and subcontractor contracts and effectively manage and track all project costs to ensure profitability with integrity and honesty.
  • Effectively communicate and resolve issues throughout all phases of the construction process including priorities with schedule, budget, and quality standards in a fair and equitable manner.
  • Coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the owners, architects, engineers, project superintendents, and subcontractors and suppliers with timely and efficient communication.
  • Monitor the progress of the construction activities with periodic on-site inspections, track potential disputes and claims, procure punch list for the project, perform yearly inspections, and resolve any deficiencies.
  • Supervise and manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop project plans; coordinate projects; communicate changes and progress; complete projects on time and budget.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; work well in group problem solving situations; use reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

Required Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college/university or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years’ related work experience
  • Demonstrated computer proficient (MS Office)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals
  • Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Ability to maintain and possess exceptional work ethics and uphold company values
  • Provide guidance and ongoing feedback to colleagues

Preferred Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Four-year degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or related degree.
  • Knowledge of CMIC software

Other

  • Valid Driver’s License, ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record and ability to follow the CoBeck Construction Motor Vehicle Policy

  • This job is operated in a professional office environment
  • Ability to clearly communicate information written and verbal to colleagues and clients
  • This role regularly uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers, and fax machines. This position requires the ability to lift files and open file cabinets
  • Use a computer and or ipad in open office environment with natural and or fluorescent lighting.
  • Employees are frequently required to sit, stand, and occasionally required to bend, kneel, reach, stoop, or crouch.
  • This position may occasionally lift 15 pounds.

Salary Range

$95,000 to $140,000 annually, plus auto allowance and discretionary bonus.

Pay is based upon many factors including but not limited to education, skill, experience, training, certifications and other business needs.
