Overview
We are seeking an motivated and detail-oriented Junior Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, assist with month-end close, and contribute to financial reporting and analysis. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational accounting skills within a dynamic environment. This position is a fully onsite, full-time role, based in our Los Angeles corporate office, but will relocate to Long Beach by the end of the year.
Responsibilities
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation
- Help improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial matters
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; relevant internships or coursework are a plus.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and accrual accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet required deadlines.
