Responsibilities
- Lead the company’s accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting in accordance with GAAP and applicable insurance industry requirements
- Oversee internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes
- Coordinate annual audits and serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors
- Partner with executive leadership on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
- Monitor regulatory reporting and compliance requirements applicable to the insurance industry
- Manage and develop accounting team members
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, controls, and overall efficiency
- Support special projects and continued organizational growth
Qualifications
- Active CPA license required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Insurance industry accounting experience required
- Prior Controller, Assistant Controller, or comparable senior accounting leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit requirements
- Experience working within a regulated insurance environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a growing, fast-paced organization
Salary : $300,000 - $350,000
