The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time General Engineer, NH-0801-04 to work for the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (AFRCO) located in Washington, DC.

PCS will be offered.

Salary: $107,446 to $164,301 (without locality)

Qualifications/Requirements:

Serves as the Senior Engineer and an expert on U.S. advanced technology programs. Responsible for integration and acquisition of advanced systems to meet the warfighters' requirements. Develop program direction, assist in resource allocation, and monitor program execution. Individual ensures acquisition programs and their "system of systems" employment concept are capable of fulfilling Air Force specific requirements.

U.S. Citizenship Required.

Position is designated special-sensitive and requires a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.

Employee needs to obtain and maintain approval to access the portfolio of Special Access Programs required to perform daily duties.

Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.

Employee is in a designated position that will be required to consent to random polygraph examinations.

This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions present a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing.

Education Requirements: Position requires a professional engineering degree at the bachelor's level from an ABET accredited institution is required. Advanced degrees are preferred. Further qualifications can be found at ;br>
The employee must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Mastery of advanced engineering principles for complex airborne/space systems, and expert knowledge of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.

Ability to design, evaluate, and synchronize enterprise-level system architectures to meet strategic mission requirements.

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior executive leadership and Congressional staff, and to persuade/influence stakeholders on controversial issues.

Ability to lead the resolution of complex, highly ambiguous technical problems that impact national-level acquisition programs.

Ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams and organize large-scale project efforts across the DoW and industry.

Ability to strategically manage and oversee high-priority acquisition projects, ensuring alignment with Air Force budget cycles and mission timelines.
