The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for Full-Time Electronics Engineer (NH-0855-03) to work at Air Force Materiel Command in the 448th Supply Chain Management Wing (448 SCMW) at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 2026 Salary Range: $89,508-$138,370 including locality pay

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a professional electronics engineer with project management, execution, and operational responsibility in assigned area(s). This includes applying advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes to the acquisition, development, or sustainment of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment. The role also involves functioning as the organization's technical specialist in electrical engineering for critical systems and devices, performing complex analysis, and serving as a consultant to senior specialists and officials.

Duty 1: Performs professional electronics engineering work by application of advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes to the acquisition, development, or sustainment of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment.

Duty 2: Functions as the organization's technical specialist in electrical engineering for critical systems and devices.

Duty 3: Performs complex and comprehensive analysis and uses systematic, disciplined, and quantifiable approaches to implement, develop, and document projects.

Duty 4: Serves as a consultant and technical expert to senior subject matter specialists and/or agency officials responsible for broad program operations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

Knowledge of professional electronics engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.

Knowledge of development testing and evaluation sufficient to apply experimental theories and new applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment.

Knowledge of integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment sufficient to plan, design, test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and oversee the development and/or sustainment of electronic systems or devices.

Knowledge of the principles of planning and program management; standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and other engineering disciplines.

Ability to devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches, and to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes.

Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.

Additional Position Requirements

A professional engineering degree at the bachelor's level from an ABET accredited institution in Electronics Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline is required.

Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.

The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license may be required for the position.

The work requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
