Trust Officer
Location: Georgetown, TX
A well-established, community-focused bank is seeking an experienced Trust Officer to support the growth and development of its wealth management and trust services division. The Trust Officer will serve as a key point of contact for clients, overseeing trust administration, developing new business relationships, and helping expand the bank’s presence in the local market. This role is ideal for a professional with an existing network and the ability to transition client relationships or a book of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer a variety of trust accounts, including personal trusts, estates, and agency accounts
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for trust and wealth clients
- Develop new business through centers of influence, referrals, and community involvement
- Transition and grow an existing book of business where applicable
- Partner with clients, attorneys, CPAs, and internal teams to deliver comprehensive fiduciary solutions
- Ensure all accounts are administered in accordance with governing documents, fiduciary standards, and regulatory requirements
- Review and interpret trust documents, wills, and related legal materials
- Monitor account performance, distributions, and client objectives
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell investment management, deposit, and lending services
- Actively participate in community and business development activities
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in trust administration or wealth management
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships
- Experience working with trusts, estates, and fiduciary accounts
- Strong understanding of fiduciary principles, compliance, and regulations
- Proven business development skills; ability to bring or transition client relationships preferred
- Established local network within the Georgetown or greater Central Texas market strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
- CTFA or similar professional designation is a plus
